Hey there! I'm Alayna, and this is my husband Jon! We're two regular, Ohio-born people who love to spend our free time watching movies, finding great happy hours, and hanging out with our dogchild, Oslo.
I’ve been around weddings my whole life. My grandfather was a wedding photographer and my mother designed and made wedding dresses. So, naturally, my heart and soul is in wedding photography. Literally everything about weddings make me so excited, and yours will be no different!
When I'm not shooting or getting that reduced hour requirement, you might find me in a Starbucks drive-through, going on a Target run, or dancing in my kitchen while making a new recipe I found online.

Weddings are literally my favorite thing.
If I could choose any way to spend a Saturday, I would without hesitation say shooting a wedding. I love every detail, every moment, and every person that I cross paths with.
When my sister got married in 2019, I realized even more so the gift that I can give people. Not just the bride and groom, but their families and friends too. This bride is someone's whole world- a daughter, sister, best friend. That groom is someone's world- to his parents, his siblings, his buddies.
A wedding day is so much more than a pretty dress and a big party. It's a day that so many people have been dreaming of for decades and a day they'll never forget for decades more. And I have the humbling, amazing, serious, and fun privilege to freeze the moments of that day for the rest of their lives.

I know that weddings are expensive, and we've received so much direction and encouragement over the last few years to keep things simple and affordable when it comes to the wedding celebrations. But you still deserve to have amazing photos! So I'm happy to let you know that I offer 25% off regular prices only to Witness couples. Because if I can use my time and skills to help someone keep their eye simple and have more to give to Jehovah, than I definitely want to!
THE FAMILY DISCOUNT
Weddings are not one size fits all, so I don't think wedding photography should be either. You'll get to build a collection that best fits your wants and needs. This lets me keep the JW discount at an affordable cost while not sacrificing any of the experience or benefits you'll get from being an AP Couple!
You can build your day with as little coverage or as much coverage as you want. And, of course, if you're not sure what exactly will be the best option for you, let me know and we'll figure it out together!

I truly believe an engagement session is a vital part of the entire process! Which is why I offer a JW discount of $100 off my regular hourly price!
During the engagement session, you’ll have the chance to get to know me, experience how I shoot, and how I handle posing and lighting. This session will make a huge impact on how the wedding day flows. I’ll arrive on your wedding day already knowing how you two interact, what your best poses are, and how to photograph you in a genuine way. What I will learn about you during your engagement session is invaluable!
You will feel like such a pro on your big day because of the great practice you had during your engagement session!
how much is required up front?
To reserve your wedding, a signed contract and a retainer payment of 25% the total cost is required.

do you travel for weddings?
Absolutely! If you know anything about Ohioans, you know we're always trying to get away! I've got special packages and pricing for weddings outside of Ohio, so make sure you shoot me an email so we can talk more about your wedding day!

who is your second shooter?
My second shooter is my sister! I love being able to spend the day with her, and we have so much fun! She's been shooting with me since 2011 and we are frighteningly in sync on wedding days. Even down to our killer dance moves.

who is your second shooter?
Not really. You'll definitely get great images without one. But there are definite advantages to having a second photographer. I can only focus on shooting one thing at a time, so while I'm getting the "safe" shots, my second can be getting the in between moments. For example, while I'm shooting the maid of honor giving her speech, the second photographer can be capturing reactions of you, your friends laughing, you mom crying, etc. So while it's not necessary to have a second shooter, it will give you a wonderful vantage point of your whole day!

will we receive rights to the images?
You'll receive personal rights to every image from your engagement session and wedding day. That means you can share on the gram, share with your fam, and print at Sam('s). Really trying to stretch the rhyming theme here, but basically the personal rights mean you can share and order products :)
